Increasing Utility Transmission Operator Efficiency; Decreasing Errors and Response Time

A complete view of transmission mimic boards, one-line diagrams, substation views, area views and more— on a single PC screen.

A single click on a detailed graphic display presents all available information.

Compare real-time, simulation and historical data in the same display.

Launch other enterprise applications, initialized with the selected network components.

Role-based, configurable access to functionality and display.

Exact PC-based replication of the mimic board.

No impact to existing IT infrastructure.

Configurable displays, alarms and notifications.

AVS/PowerViz displays transmission network summary information using a “software view” of the hardware based “mimic board”.  The symbols, colors and layout exactly match those of the time-tested “mimic board” to provide operators a familiar and effective starting point.

In this case, feeders are colored by their voltage class, network components are colored based on their current status.  Users can also use the mouse to interactively pan and zoom the view to a desired location.  The view can also be displayed across multiple computer monitors or screens to provide a "big picture" view of the entire network.

Symbols can be customized with business logic to display multiple variables at once.
Views containing varying levels of details can be nested or branched according to a user or solution-defined hierarchy.
An operator can quickly switch data sources to obtain past and future perspectives.
Each view can be customized to launch any number of legacy applications and/or additional views.  In this case, the operator right-clicks on a substation to choose from 4 Web-based applications and 4 more detailed views.
By hovering over particular components, the operator can display historical graphs in an instant.
AVS/PowerViz supports an impressive array of 2D and 3D graphs.
