New Release of High Performance Data Visualization Software from AVS Now Available

Advanced Visual Systems (AVS), has released AVS/Express 6.3, a major upgrade to its popular AVS/Express software system for the creation and deployment of advanced graphical applications in the fields of science, engineering and business. AVS/Express 6.3 improves performance, adds several new data visualization capabilities, and includes enhancements influenced by a global population of advanced users. Prominent new features of AVS/Express 6.3 include a new segmentation editor for isolating regions within volumetric datasets; new readers for eight CAD/CAM-oriented geometry formats; new visualization macros and an improved data visualization wizard; numerous performance improvements for Windows-based visualization of very large datasets; support for new platforms including Mac OS X and the .NET 2003 compiler on Windows; a new "Quick Start" tutorial designed for new users; and enhanced documentation.
