AVS Celebrates Fourteen Years of Innovation and Success
in Visual Analysis
October of 2005 marked the fourteenth year of operations for Advanced Visual Systems, an industry pioneer serving corporate and technical decision makers around the globe with the industry’s most recognized and respected offering of data visualization tools and solutions.
By reasonable estimates, no other data visualization software company has touched as many end-users as AVS; over fourteen years, nearly five thousand customers have utilized AVS software to provide highly expressive graphics to upwards of one million decision-makers.
From US and European offices, AVS continues to make continual improvements to its popular data visualization products to assure a future of innovative technologies that will continue to shape the decision-making experiences of software developers and end-users in every industry.
AVS/Express:
Higher Performance Data Visualization
AVS/Express, now
in its eighth year of release and extensive worldwide deployment,
is introducing AVS/Express 7.0, a major upgrade to its already
popular software system.
AVS/Express 7.0 increases rendering and application performance
on all leading 64-bit platforms and adds dynamic new functionality
for Macintosh OS-X users.
AVS/Express is used by thousands of customers worldwide to
extract new meaning from all types of large and complex datasets.
AVS/Express Visualization Edition is used by individual researchers
to conduct complex analysis; the Developer Edition of the
popular product adds additional functionality and permits
the distribution of run-time applications; and the Multipipe
Edition permits teams of researchers to view presentations
using the latest in immersive systems.
Toolmaster:
Unmatched Platform Compatibility
A significant upgrade has been made to the popular Toolmaster
development environment. Toolmaster 7.4 adds support for additional
platforms (including Mac OS-X and 64-bit architectures) and
many new features that extend the Toolmaster cross-platform
library of more than 500 C/C++ and FORTRAN functions for scientific,
technical and commercial graphics.
Gsharp:
Fast and Sophisticated Charts
An upgrade to the Gsharp
system has been made for creating and publishing sophisticated
charts, graphs and data presentations.
Gsharp 3.4 adds a wide array of presentation layout features
that extend the ability of desktop analysis and application
developers to quickly create highly expressive technical graphics
using an intelligent user interface, automatic scripting and
broad data import capabilities. The latest release also provides
platform enhancements, including full support Apple OS X.
Gsharp offers full support for all Windows, Linux, VMS and
UNIX platforms, making it easy to assemble and produce sophisticated
technical graphics from an extensive library of plot types
and functions.
OpenViz
Particles: New Name, More Options
AVS’ popular OpenViz
technology—first released in 1998—now features
additional functionality and has been re-branded as OpenViz
Particles.
Prominent new features of OpenViz Particles include enhanced
.NET capabilities, additional functionality for scalable vector
graphic (SVG) rendering of data visualizations, and a host
of new techniques for expressing large and complex datasets.
OpenViz Particles is the industry’s most advanced data
visualization system for adding interactive graphics, charts
and functionality to ISV products and enterprise applications.
Introducing
OpenViz Elements
When AVS first released OpenViz
in 1999, it revolutionized the world of data visualization
for business and analytics by incorporating nearly a decade
of product engineering expertise into a single visualization
toolkit.
After years of successful deployment by leading corporations
and software manufacturers worldwide, AVS has released OpenViz
Elements, a powerful new toolkit that fuses the power of highly
customizable OpenViz techniques with a powerful data management
framework.
