InforSense
to Integrate OpenViz Data Visualization
Technology From Advanced Visual Systems Into
'Kensington Discovery Edition'
(London,
UK, February 12, 2002) InforSense
Ltd., a technology leader in discovery informatics platforms, today
announced it will enter into a collaboration agreement with Advanced
Visual Systems (AVS) to incorporate OpenViz(R) data visualisation
components into its Kensington Discovery Edition (KDE) product.
Kensington Discovery
Edition (KDE) is an enterprise- wide discovery informatics platform
that supports entire processes of information-based scientific discovery.
KDE offers full Enterprise Discovery Planning (EDP) support by providing
an extensible layer of generic and scalable analytic components;
a uniform framework of knowledge management for verifying and warehousing
discovered knowledge; and a set of flexible deployment tools for
generating analytical applications from verified processes. The
addition of AVS' OpenViz data visualisation suites enhances the
existing KDE's visualisation functions, enabling powerful visual
understanding and integration of life science data in the process
of discovery, design and management.
"We are
delighted to be partnering with AVS," said Dr. Yike Guo, the
CEO of InforSense. "The synergy will bring new dimensions of
benefit in interactive visualisation to our existing and potential
life science customers and thus strengthen the KDE's mission of
providing total discovery informatics solutions for knowledge-driven
industry."
Steve Sukman,
CEO of AVS, added, "Bringing rapid insight to users through
interactive analytics is at the core of our product and corporate
strategy. We are pleased to see this approach applied to InforSense's
important goal of supporting discoveries in life sciences with next-generation,
scalable enterprise-wide informatics."
